One always hopes that they "sleep like a rock" the first night of vacation to start the week off right - unfortunately that wasn't me............Because there are 2 double beds, we each slept in one - Glenn chose the one with the reading light since I had the kindle to read by. And we had left the bedroom window open as it was stuffy in the casita when we arrived.
Well I ended up being cold all night since there was just a sheet and a very light weight spread on top - and I knew there was an extra blanket in the closet that I could have put on but somehow my mind didn't connect that in the middle of the night! Oh well - the blanket is now on my bed!!
This was our morning view!!
We headed to Dave's place to pick them up and rent a 4 seater ATV - and then it was off to breakfast at our favorite place - the Roadrunner!
We headed down to the beach and stopped at our place to show it to Dave and Leslie!
Driving along the beach and seeing the neat homes on one side and the beautiful water on the other is so much fun! We spotted several turtle egg nests!
Photo time!
Drinks and tacos beachside were only $1.50 each - what a bargain at Lazy Dave's! Great tacos and then we were ready to head back to the canyon! We were surprised when we got to the last mile as there was water running in the canyon - it wasn't deep but it went all the way across!
Another photo shoot at the waterfall!
Our final stop of the day before turning in the ATV was at El Gecko - another beach side bar and this one was super nice! It was happy hour - instead of 1/2 price drinks, they just bring you two! We decided to go ahead and order appetizers. Leslie and I chose guacamole made table side by this guy - he was so nice!
The guys shared sashimi - they said it was great and I'll take their word for it as I didn't try it!! Cheers to friends!!
We were all stuffed from our appetizers so decided to just forgo dinner since the guys were getting up early to go fishing.............let's hope the wind holds off till the afternoon!!
