We've changed toys once again!! Knowing that Glenn wants to go to East Texas next Feb (since we won't be going to Baja) to fish, I made the decision that I was ready to get rid of the Toy Hauler and get a "nicer" 5th wheel again (we did have a very nice one when we retired!)
We kept looking and looking on Marketplace and I asked a lot of questions of people but the right one just hadn't turned up until one day I saw one that seemed very reasonable for what it looked like inside! Glenn said let's go look at it so we did - it was in Conifer, about an hour and 45 minutes from us so we made the arrangements and headed over!
The couple was so nice - he is having short term memory problems and she has eye issues so they hadn't used it in the last 4 years - and I really don't think it had been used much at all! The guy and his former wife (deceased) had ordered it from the factory and picked out what they wanted! We both fell in love with it!! VERY NICE inside and the only thing it didn't have that we needed was a hitch on the back for the boat or side by side and Glenn said he could install that himself! So a deal was made - HOORAY!!
Between them going on a trip and me heading to OK. with Jill, Glenn couldn't pick it up for a while but it finally is here - Glenn got the hitch put on the back - I thoroughly cleaned it and repacked it with our things from the Toy Hauler and it's all set to go!
In the meantime, our neighbors' son had looked at the toy hauler while we were in Baja, and he decided he wanted to buy it - so he's now the proud owner of it!
