Barter Time

We have a new candy store that specializes in peanut brittle!  I haven't been to the place yet but I will soon!!  The owner has stopped by our granite place a couple of times as he needs some of his marble counter tops glued where they have come apart.

 

Yesterday he stopped by again to let us know he is ready for us to come up and glue and guess what he brought - a SAMPLE of his peanut brittle!!  Only I wouldn't call it a sample as each bag is 8 oz!!

 

I had tasted the peanut brittle before at a Chamber After Hours as one of my friends won a door prize from the candy store and she shared it with me - it was excellent!!

 

Well let me tell you, I opened the cashew brittle yesterday and it was all I could do to keep form eating the entire bag - it was SO GOOD!!!  I took that bag on home and kept the other 3 here at work and of course I couldn't resist opening another one today - the pecan brittle - and it's just as good as the cashew one!!  I'm addicted!!!

 

But it's what the owner told me that had my interest!!  He would like to "barter" our labor charge (or at least part of it) for Christmas candy gifts!!  He says they make up some cute gift baskets with not only the brittle but the other candies they make - think dark chocolate truffles - chocolate pecan clusters - caramels...........ummmmm - my mouth is already watering and I THINK this may be a great barter!!!
