Fishing and Sunsets

Even though we had only arrived on Friday, the following Monday we headed to Cabo with friends Eric and Hillary - Costco and Walmart were our intended destinations and it's always an interesting experience to shop!  Costco wasn't super busy and we found what we needed pretty quickly as I keep a running list from year to year!  Their hot dogs and drinks are a bargain - and the hot dogs are fantastic!

Then it was off to Walmart - and that's always interesting because your first thought is that everything will be just like in the US Walmart - NOT!!  Everything is basically Mexican brands and it does take a while to figure out where everything is and then translate if you can't figure it out!  The lines were long but we finally got out of there!  A couple more stops as Glenn was trying to find a tube for his boat tire and then we headed home - it makes for a long day and we were both exhausted!

I spent the next 3 hours repackaging all the meat items into smaller amounts, putting everything away and deboning a chicken!  Glenn seemed to think his boat was priority so I didn't get much help - HA!

But he was up at 4:00 or so the next day as he was heading to Cabo AGAIN with another fisherman to get on a private charter and fish for tuna!  I kept super busy that day still doing stuff around the house!

But Glenn had a great day and brought home FISH!

Dorado and 2 tuna!  The tuna steaks were delicious that night on the grill!  And because he had so much tuna, he borrowed a canner and jars and actually canned tuna the next day!  It's delicious on a cracker with some cream cheese!

Then a day later he went back out in HIS boat and got another dorado!  Yes, we had to hand out a lot of bags of fish the next day as our freezer was getting full!

Thursday night was grill night over at the Spa Resort - we decided just to get potatoes to go!  And while we were waiting for our order, the sun set and there was the most beautiful sunset over the water!

As fast as it turned pink, it turned to orange over the actual resort!

I love the sunrises but we don't always get a lot of pretty sunsets so this was special!  And our potatoes were pricey (everything has gone up in Baja and the dollar isn't so good right now) but as usual, I got 3 meals out of it!
