ATVing Down The Beach

The ants in the kitchen were driving me crazy!!  We couldn't figure out where they were coming from - Glenn had put out the granules everywhere he could think of - we had went through almost a can of ant spray - and still they were in the kitchen at different times of day on the counters!  I finally said enough is enough and contacted the property manager to get ahold of the pest guy and have him come spray!

He has been to the rental before when we've been there - he's American and a really nice guy and does a good job of spraying!  So we had a time set up and since you need to be out of the house for a couple of hours, we decided to take an ATV ride down the beach!

But first a couple of sunrise pics!

It always is fun to ride along the beach on the ATV with the wind on your face !  We went down as far as you can go and had lunch under the palapas!

I climbed up the little lifeguard structure (I assume?) and had Glenn take my picture!

We walked down the beach and since it was low tide, there were a lot of rocks, birds and ducks around!

Driftwood from the hurricane last fall!

We watched a whale for quite a while spout and breach - we've seen some many whales this year!  I loved watching these 3 white birds!

We headed back after our allotted 2 hours!  Troy had left a sticky substance that he said to put on the counter if we saw any ants - of course we did later on that day so I put some of it on a piece of plastic wrap and oh my gosh - the ants came out in droves!!!  Troy said they would step in the stuff and take it back to the nest and that would kill them - and it DID!   The next day there were ants on the other counter so we did the same thing - lots and lots of ants - but by the next day they were all gone and we haven't seen one yet!!  HOORAY!!

When I went in to clean the 2nd bedroom before our next guest came, there was a dead cockroach in the shower - got rid of him and KNOW the house is completely bug free now!!

How cool to see whales! Glad the ants are gone; fingers crossed they don't come back!
