Wow were we all surprised when we realized the Keppys and the Savages could all come down for Memorial Day Weekend! Robby had a couple of computer jobs he needed to do so that worked out great for him (although we didn't get to see a lot of him!). The only one missing was Rayna since she had to work all weekend!
The Keppys got in Friday night and the Savages got in LATE Friday night - luckily they both missed the horrible traffic! Jessi and Gary got the guest bedroom, Aleah and Kenzie got the hide-a-bed, Evan was on a mattress on the floor - Jill and Robby got to sleep in our new (to us!) 5th wheel toy hauler and Parker slept on the extra bed in the toy hauler! Yes, we had a full house!
The kids were all up and going Saturday morning as Kylan was having his birthday party down at a "Smash" place in Co. Springs and invited all his cousins to go! (Gwyn was too little to do it). Jaime and Brad both drove them down and Rayna joined them which was nice! The kids had a blast and Jaime took pics!
They all had to put on coveralls and helmets with face masks for protection!
What a great birthday party - they're all smiles!
Meanwhile back at our house, I didn't want Gwyn to feel left out so we made unicorn sugar cookies! (yes, they are from a package - ready to bake - the best kind - ha!)
She's getting the hang of getting those cookies off the cookie sheet!
Everyone loves Happy Hour at our house! I made 3 different dips and made the girls mango daiquiris so we all ate well!
Glenn and Gary (and Evan when he was available) worked on Evans' car - there was a problem with the steering wheel fluid leaking out and they had the part but getting to it was HORRIBLE! I think the guys ended up working on it for almost 12 hours! But they persevered and got it done!
So when it was time to celebrate the birthdays later on that day, Glenn was first and he opened up the hat and t-shirt I had bought - it was PERFECT for this guy!!
Kylan turned 16!! He'll soon be a licensed driver too!
Gwyn turned 8 and had lots of presents to open! She loves elephants and got 2 darling stuffed animals!
And last but not least, I opened my Mothers' Day gift from the girls - my blog book from 2022!! I SO LOVE this gift every year - and I love reading all my old books !!
I cooked a large spiral ham for dinner along with baked potatoes, fruit salad and biscuits! For dessert we had either my chocolate bundt cake or strawberry/rhubarb dessert - both served with ice cream! I was one tired gal that evening after serving 16 people! To Be Cont'd.....
