Loud, Crazy and Wild - But Oh So Fun!

Walt Disney World - What a magical, wonderful place to visit! We're back from our week's stay in Orlando - and yes, the list of things I need to do this week is REALLY, REALLY long but high priority of course are pictures and blogging!
I discovered right before Thanksgiving that my camera was not working properly - I can't delete any pictures off of the camera - bummer - yes, my camera is getting old and has served me well over the last few years but to try and have it fixed would probably be more than what the camera is worth! Luckily it still is taking great pictures and I have heard there is a way you can delete the pictures somehow on the computer but I'll probably just take the easy way out and get a new camera! In the meantime, at least it still was working for our trip!

Jaime, Brad, Rayna, Kylan, Glenn and I all set out for the airport a week ago Sunday for our trip to Florida! Luckily we had a direct flight and after checking our luggage (and paying for it of course - I STILL don't like doing that!) we headed off for breakfast and coffee! Our flight was uneventful which is always a GOOD thing and before we knew it, we had arrived in sunny Orlando and were being picked up by the Magical Express Disney Bus - what fun to be whisked away to your resort and not worry about picking up your luggage - they delivered it to our door later in the day!

Check in was a breeze and we climbed aboard a cute little cart and were promptly taken to our treehouse villa! WOW - IT WAS REALLY NICE! Nestled in among the trees and standing on stilts, it was a great place to spend a week! With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, we each had our own rooms- the kitchen had granite countertops, a dishwasher, microwave and everything we needed to cook with (even though we were just cooking breakfasts and one dinner)! Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I ordered groceries online and had them delivered to the resort - they rode with us to the treehouses and we were set for the week!

We grabbed our backpacks and jackets and headed out the door for our 5:00 dinner reservation at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom - the bus stop was just a few yards away which made it nice, considering the first bus only took us to the main resort and then we would take another bus to get us into the "Kingdoms".

Were there a lot of people there? OH my - this was supposed to be the SLOW time of the year but it sure didn't look that way on Sunday night! The restaurant was packed and VERY loud but we got used to the noise real fast!! This was a character dinner and Kylan was beside himself, waiting for the characters to come to our table! He LOVED seeing them and gave them all lots of hugs! And to top things off, the meal was delicious!!!

We all were on the Disney Dining Plan, which basically means that each person received a counter service meal (fast food), a sit down dinner, and a snack daily! All in all it added up to a LOT of food!! We sure didn't have to worry about going hungry and we found that most of the counter service food was really good! I had done a lot of research before we left and had made our sit down reservations 60 days in advance! So it was nice to know each day exactly where we were eating lunch and dinner! Of course the snack carts proved to be one of our favorite places to visit for our daily snack - they had the best strawberry bars, pineapple bars and ice cream bars - yum!!
And next on the agenda Sunday night was The Very Merry Christmas Party where we were meeting Cindy, Rene, and grandson Brenner - but it's late and I'm tired so that will have to be tomorrow!
