Day 4 / Wind, Wind and MORE Wind

We're settling into Mexico life!  Glenn even slept in till almost 7 today so I got to enjoy some extra sleep too!

My legs are getting used to walking in the sand now - since the sand is not as soft as other places, I've been wearing my water shoes for a while and then carrying them on the way back!  No good sunrise today so hoping for tomorrow!!

It was a lazy day - Glenn and I hung around our place and Dave and Leslie relaxed at their place!  My first cup of coffee outside - it was heavenly!!!

The wind came up mighty strong again and soon the whitecaps were out on the ocean!  What a view from our rooftop!  Later the kite surfers were out right in front of our place and it was so fun to watch them!

Mr. Fisherman was out and about all morning, casting into that wind - he didn't have any luck but enjoyed every minute of it!!

We met Dave and Leslie at El Viejo for lunch - shrimp and chicken tacos - $1.50 each with all the trimmings!  I don't think we can afford NOT to eat out at those prices!!  We walked next door for ice cream and then headed out to the beach place, El Gecko, to see if they would cook some of our fish for dinner and got that set up!!

Glenn needed to stop at the bait shop to get a lure or something and this beautiful plant/flower was just waiting for me to snap a picture!

Happy Hour at El Gecko is so much fun - it's a busy place and we had our same waiter take care of us - they had mango daiquiris with tejin - delicious!!

After our guacamole (just can't seem to get enough of that) they served our fish with rice and veggies - the garlic fish was great, the blackened fish was a little strange!!  But adding the mango sauce helped it!!  We stuffed ourselves and then all split a slice of key lime pie!

Our last night on the beach all together as Dave and Leslie head home tomorrow!

We headed on back to our place and right before we take our turn to our house Glenn commented on how pretty the ocean looked as the moon is almost full - I said I couldn't see the reflection and he pulls further towards the beach and then turns the wheel to head back around and yup - we're stuck in the sand!!  We tried and tried to get the car out with Glenn pushing but no luck at all! Luckily our neighbors were up and they tried to help but we needed a tow rope so they called another friend and he came over and got us out!  NO MORE DRIVING ON THE SAND!!

The blackened fish does look interesting! Not sure I would have liked it!
